Cefuroxime Axetil Tablet 500mg

Cefuroxime is a strong antibiotic to treat bacterial infections. It helps reduce the growth of bacteria and does not work for viral infections. The drug is available as tablets (125, 250, and 500 mg), suspension, and injection.

Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic. Ceftin (Cefuroxime) is available as a generic drug and is prescribed to treat infections with susceptible bacteria including skin and middle ear infections, tonsillitis, throat infections, laryngitis, b , bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and gonorrhea.
Cefuroxime is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. It belongs to the class of medicines known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, this medicine will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.

Cefuroxime is suitable for adults and children, and can be taken during pregnancy. Some people who are allergic to
penicillin antibiotics may not be able to take cefuroxime, so make sure your doctor knows if you have ever had an
allergic reaction to any other antibiotic.
